We stopped in St Petersburg for 2 days on our Baltic cruise in 2013. And we travelled across Siberia on the Trans-Siberia express from Beijing to Moscow in 2017. I found all the Russian cities to be very pleasant and enjoyable to walk around. Moscow is impressive. Lots to see.
